Function: The Extension Education Center serves as the headquarters for all extension programs in Sedgwick County. The Extension staff -- agents, program assistants, nutrition assistants, support staff, and many volunteers -- conduct educational programming for adult and youth residents of Sedgwick County. Areas of specialization include agriculture, home resources management, 4-H youth programs, horticulture, and community development.
K-State Research and Extension: Serves as are a partnership between Kansas State University and federal, state, and county governments, with offices in every Kansas county. KSRE conducts research through Kansas that is then shared by Extension agents and others on their Web sites and through numerous conferences, workshops, field days, publications, newsletters, and more.
